About Waterpolo

Waterpolo teams demand good weather and perfect spots to start their preparation, something which is very hard to find throughout the whole season.

Our island can best meet the needs and preferences of such teams. Cyprus weather conditions, combined with the five open air swimming pools in such a small island, are the main reasons why Waterpolo professionals choose Cyprus as their sports destination.

Limassol 50m Olympic Swimming Pool

Located perfectly  by the sea, Limassol open air Olympic swimming pool (50m x 25m) is one of the best in the island. Full Waterpolo equipment is available (caps, balls, goalies) for daily training and friendly games or official tournaments.

Limassol Olympic pool is heated at 27-28 degrees throughout the whole year, making it easy to have your training any day of the calendar year. Changing rooms, toilets, showers and 600 covered seats are also available for use.

Paphos 25m Pool

Paphos 25m open air swimming pool (25m x 15m) is located in the heart of Paphos in a great natural environment. Full Waterpolo equipment is available (caps, balls, goalies) for daily training and friendly games or official tournaments.

The pool is heated at 26-27 degrees throughout the whole year. Light equipped gym, changing rooms, toilets, showers and 300 covered seats are also available for use.

Geroskipou 50m Olympic Pool

Geroskipou open air swimming pool (50m x 25m) is located in Paphos and it is just five minutes walking from the beachfront and the nearest accommodation. Full Waterpolo equipment is available (caps, balls, goalies) for daily training and friendly games or official tournaments.

The pool is heated at 26-27 degrees almost throughout the whole year. Light equipped gym, physiotherapy and recreational room, changing rooms, toilets, showers, locker rooms and 700 covered seats are also available for use.

Beach Waterpolo

Cyprus Athletic Tourism organises Beach Waterpolo tournaments in some of the most well – known beaches of Paphos and Limassol. We cooperate with the best Beach Waterpolo professionals and our biggest event is “Beach Waterpolo International Tour”, a tournament that takes place in many places around Europe.
